Galahad - Nothing Is Written (1991)

The debut album from this British band.

Galahad were a quintet on this album with a lineup of keyboards, Hammond organ, bass, drums, tambourine, percussion, guitars, synths, Mellotron, piano, FX and vocals.
Two guest musicians provided keyboards and operatic vocals.

Galahad is a band in the British prog and neo-prog scene which does not really need any introduction. I have previously reviewed a couple of their albums and will review the remainder of the albums I have got of them this fall and winter.

Their debut album was released in 1991 and showcases some really poppy neo-prog.

The music is really simple neo-prog with a chorus-verse-chorus and not much else. The songs on this one hour long album is really short. Short without much substance.

The songs are catchy and slightly bubblegum like in texture. The taste quickly disappears and a bland taste remains.

This album is nowhere near their finest hour. It is still a fairly decent album which show some kind of promise. Promise later fulfilled.
