District 97 - Screens (2019)
The fourth album from this US band.
The band is a quintet with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and vocals.
The band has risen like a rocket on their three first albums and is now regarded as one of the stars in the new prog rock world... or should that be the prog rock universe.
Their blend of neo-prog, prog metal and some goth has a big untapped audience. An audience this band is tapping into.
Their gigs has got very good reviews and ditto for their albums. I have reviewed their first two albums in # 1 of this blog and has liked them a lot.
A big plus in their music is the female vocals from Leslie Hunt who is sometimes supported by male vocals and her own vocal harmonies.
Leslie Hunt is very much the life and DNA of their sound.
The music is good throughout although I have heard better District 97 albums than this one. They are keeping their fans happy while getting new fans.
Check out this band.
