Potter. Jack - Pride Before The Fall (2018)

The second album from this US drummer.

Jack Potter has got help from numerous musicians who has contributed with guitars, bass, keyboards and vocals. Both male and female vocals.

One of the contributors here is the late Colin Tench and I believe this is the final piece of music (guitars) he ever worked on before he passed away in Sweden one year ago.

I was not too impressed with his 2012 debut album Celestial Adventures. My review can be found here.

The music is still melodic neo and symphonic prog, the American way and style. Prog infused with a lot of Art Rock.

There is a lot of female vocals here and some organ sounding keyboards too. There are some Pink Floyd like guitar solos too.

The music sounds nice and clean.

The music is also very complex and bombastic too. There is a lot of ELP influences in that respect. But with a lot more guitars who shares the keyboards duties.

This is not an overly exciting album and neither does the quality really impresses me. It is still an album well worth checking out if US prog is your thing. It is barely a good album, but still a good album.
