Tetragon - Nature (1971)
The debut album from this German band.
The band was a quartet with a lineup of drums, bass, guitars, clavinet, organs, piano, electric piano and vocals.
This band evolved out of the band Trikolon whose album I have reviewed earlier this year in this blog.
This album, Nature, opens up with a track very much in the Trace and ELP vein. Pretty much classical music.
It then takes a sharp left turn and moves into a much more rocking landscape. The guitar solos is long and wild. Very intense too.
The music is now jazz improvisations and the band follows a much more rocking and jazzy style to the end of the album. The music is full of organs and even the organs sounds a bit improvised.
The music is pretty wild and hard.
The quality is somewhere between decent and good throughout this album. Well, good I would say.
This is an album well worth checking out and another hidden gem.
