Hot Flash - First Attack! They'll Never Take Us Alive (1977)

The one and only album from this US band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, flutes and vocals.

A guest musician played piccolo flute on one song.

The music here is a bit............ United States of America.

Take a lot of US hard rock, add some US symphonic prog and AOR. Not to mention southern rock and country.

That is when you get an album like this. A forty-five minutes long album.

The music is rather flash with lots of loud guitars, vocals, flutes and keyboards. For some reason, this album reminds me about Disneyland in Florida.

The Disneyland idea of frightening people on those scary rides and making them happy with other attractions is fitting for this album.

The songs are not that good though. The quality is somewhere between decent and good.

It is an album well worth checking out. An album which smells of cheese.
