Everon - Fantasma (2000)

The fourth album from this German band.

Everon was a quartet with a lineup of keyboards, bass, drums, percussion, piano, guitars and vocals.
They had help from guest musicians who provided violin, cello and classic guitars.

I have reviewed their previous three albums and will do the remaining three albums this summer too.
It is always interesting to review albums from bands like Everon.

Their chosen path is pomp rock. Pomp rock in the vein of Saga. This Canadian band was and still is very big in Germany. So I am not surprised that the band has influenced and inspired the likes of Everon.

Mix in a lot of Dream Theater in their pomp rock and you get this fifty minutes long album.

The music is a mix of hard guitar chugging and melodic vocals and keyboards. The music is pretty melodic. It is also muscular and big too.

The music is also good throughout. It is a pretty enjoyable album without any great tracks to elevate this album to something more than a good album.

Check out this album and this band. You may find something you really like.
