Castle In The Air ‎- Castle In The Air (1999)

The one and only album from this Japanese band.

The band was a quintet with a lineup of guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and vocals.

This band released this album as a private pressing and that was the last thing we heard from them.

This was sold to me as a progressive rock album. It is not. It is hardly a progressive metal album too.

Take a large chunk of German speed metal, add some very tiresome vocals, some heavy guitars and a lot of progressive metal. That is what we ends up with here.

There is a lot of Yngwie Malmsteen like guitars here and that does not add quality to this album. An album which is basically a progressive speed metal album.

The musicians are very, very good. The music is sub-standard and just half-decent.

This is not a turkey. Those who are intrigued can find this album on Youtube and listen themselves. I am not impressed.
