Emergency - Get Out To The Country (1973)

The third album from this Germany based band.

The band was a sextet on this album with a lineup of guitars, drums, bass, timbales, percussion, flute, saxophones, synths, mellotron, piano, organ, electric piano and vocals.

The band returned again with their third album after the not so good Entrance album from the year before.

The band deliver us a mix of fusion, soul, blues, southern rock and krautrock on this album.

Well, maybe not so much krautrock this time around. The music has at least one and a half foot in America this time.

... Or southern rock to be more precise. There is also some US like pop here.

The music is still pretty hard and most of it does not take no prisoners. There is a lot of organ and guitar harmonies here. The sound is big with a lot of various instruments.

The sound is also very good and lets each instrument bloom and shine through.

The quality of the music is again decent to good. There is no outstanding tracks here. Nevertheless, this is an album well worth checking out.

2.5 points
