Riversea - The Tide (2018)

The second album from this British band.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of bass, drums, guitars, keyboards, programming, piano and vocals.
Numerous other musicians is providing female vocals, flute and guitars.

I reviewed their 2012 debut album Out Of An Ancient World almost to this day last year and liked that album a lot. You can read my review here.

The band plays neo-prog. Solid neo-prog with influences from both the Polish, German and the English neo-prog scene.

The music is pretty gloomy and atmospheric. It has a lot of soul, in other words. That goes for the whole of this one hour long album.

There is a lot of soulful vocals and guitar solos here. The keyboards is more restrained though. The lead vocals are really good here.

This album takes us through a nice journey and the end result is a good album. My only gripe is the lack of a great track or two. The band is still one of the better neo-prog bands from Great Britain.
