Trem Do Futuro - Trem Do Futuro (1995)

The second album from this Brazilian band.

Trem Do Futuro was a sextet with a lineup of flute, keyboards, bass, drums, guitars and Portoguese vocals.

I reviewed their second album back O Tempo back in May 2011 and liked that album. You can read my review here. That album was released in 2008, thirteen years after their debut album.

Trem Do Futoro has just been digitally re-released through ProgShine too. You can get this and a lot of other albums from this webpage.

Trem Do Futoro gives us almost fifty minutes of Brazilian symphonic prog. That means normal symphonic prog with a lot of Brazilian folk music and flavours. Add in some Brazilian pop too and you get this album.... and Brazilian symphonic prog as a genre.

The sound is not the best. But the music is very flowery with a lot of vocals, flutes and keyboards. The music is flowing nicely and is really good. It has this exotic but still good flavour which takes the listener to another place...... The Amazons and Brazil..... unless you are from that area. In that case, this album will sound very familiar. For the rest of us, this album is a bit exotic.

The music is really good and will make any prog rock fan happy. Check it out.
