Hawkwind - All Aboard The Skylark (2019)

The 31st album from the British band.

The band is a quartet with a lineup of bass, drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals.

Dave Brock is still at the helm. Richard Chadwick has been a full member (drummer) of the band since 1988 and he is also on this album.

It is very good that the band is still around as they are true legends of the scene. The are as Black Sabbath are to heavy metal. Genre makers and innovators, in other words.

There is a lot of acid psych on this album too. Most of this album is pretty left-field and spaced out.

There are also some more normal songs here too.

The sound is as primitive and dirty as it should be. Most people will complain. But this is what Hawkwind is and should sound like. The sound here is a plus in my books.

The album is forty minutes long and comes with a bonus CD with acoustic versions of old songs. I have bypassed this disc in my review as it is only for die hard fans. It is not a bad disc though.

All Aboard The Skylark is a decent to good album though. Hawkwind has not disgraced themselves here. Is it their final album ? I doubt it.
