Jade Warrior - Released (1971)

The second album from this British band.

The band was a trio on this album with a lineup of congas, guitars, percussion, flute, bass and vocals.
Two guest musicians supported the band on saxophones, flutes and drums.

Their debut album was a tribal psych album with a lot of raga rock. An album not so easy to grasp.

Jade Warrior has changed a bit of their style and genre on Released.

There is a mix of some really hard psych blues here and some more laid back jazz and rock.

There is also some really good ambient psych, blues and jazz here.

These forty-five minutes gives us a huge variety of music. It still comes from the same band and it very much feels like this is a coherent album. Varied but also very well put together.

The vocals are all good and the guitar solos are great.

This is an enjoyable, good album which I very much like. It is one of the really good albums from 1971.
