Riis. Bjørn - Forever Comes To An End (2017)
The second album from this Norwegian artist.
Bjorn Riis did the vocals, guitars, bass, piano and keyboards again on this album.
He got help from some guest musicians who provided fx, loops, drums, piano, percussion, solina and female vocals.
Bjorn Riis is the vocalist and guitarist in Airbag, a very good Norwegian band who has released some albums. Albums I really like.
I have also reviewed Bjorn Riis debut album from 2014. It is called Lullabies In A Car Crash and you can find my review here.
His music is again melancholic and sombre. References are Airbag, Gazpacho and Anathema. There is also some hints of No-Man and Porcupine Tree here.
There is also a lot of post rock influences here and a lot of Pink Floyd in his music on this album.
The music is flowing very nicely and Bjorn knows how to set the tone and the sound on this fifty minutes long melancholic album. I would say that the art-work describes the music pretty good.
The piano, guitars and the vocals are very good. There is a lot of ear-candy on this album too. An album full of interesting details.
This album is an improvement on the debut album and a very good album in it's own right. Check it out.
