Fizbers - Die Without Living (2018)

The second album from this band from Poland.

The band is a trio with a lineup of guitars, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals.
They had help from two other musicians who provided xtra guitars and female vocals.

Fizbers is another addition to the neo-prog scene in Poland. A pretty huge scene at the moment.

Then again, Poland is a big country with a big population. Polish neo-prog is also popular in the rest of Europe.

Fizbers music is a lot more pastoral and ambient than most other Polish bands music. The great Polish band Believe is a good reference here.

The band does indeed sound like Believe although were are not talking copycats here. There is a lot of piano and some downtuned keyboards here in the bottom of some haunting male and female vocals. The guitars are haunting too.

These forty- five minutes is pretty good without really impressing much. Due to the more pastoral leanings, the album is a bit of a stand out in the scene. The quality is more like decent to good.

I am not won over. But it is well worth checking out this album released through Lynx Music.
