If - Waterfall (1972)

The fifth album from this British band.

The band was a nine piece big band on this album with a lineup of woodwinds, bass, drums, guitars, piano, electric piano, organ, percussion and vocals.

I very much liked their debut album, but has so far not been able to get their second, third and fourth album yet.

Waterfall sees the band continue down the brass rock path. An obvious reference is Blood, Sweat & Tears.

There is a lot of fusion here and a lot of soul here.

The music is melodic with lots of brass and guitar solos. The vocals are really good too.

The music is full of energy and it is difficult not to fall for a lot of the music. The music has indeed a lot of good details.

A couple of good songs also makes this album a worthwhile listen. It is another album from this era well worth checking out.
